Deferred Maintenance is a collection of stories and observations from an automotive service advisor somewhere in the Midwest with a background that includes restaurants, retail, warehouses, customer service, and more than my fair share of strange experiences.

Over the years I’ve met frugal millionaires driving 400,000-mile minivans, immigrants trying to navigate the American Dream, teenagers who seem permanently fused to their phones, and countless other characters who somehow make modern life both absurd and fascinating.
